MOO or BOOM!
A Telegram Mini Game
“Flip, risk, and run! Will you escape the alien trap or go BOOM?”
MOO or BOOM is a fast-paced flipping game set in a colorful alien world. Players uncover tiles to collect cows and bonuses. But beware, one wrong flip and it's game over!

Gameplay Overview
This game combines luck and strategy. Players flip tiles on a 6x6 grid, aiming to collect different cows and bonus multipliers. The twist? Hidden bombs end the round instantly.

UI/UX Strategy
Although this project did not involve formal user testing, I made several design decisions based on internal feedback and Telegram-specific constraints:
-
Mobile-first UI: Layout optimized for one-thumb use, ideal for short play sessions on Telegram.
-
Interaction Motion: Flip and shuffle animations support a smooth and engaging user experience.
-
Risk-reward Highlight: Bombs are revealed with a red alert to instantly signal danger to the player.

Visual Development
The game's visual style is bold, playful, and cartoon-inspired—designed to match the Web3 aesthetic and fast-paced gameplay on Telegram.
-
Tile System: Illustrated tiles designed with distinct scores or effects, enhancing gameplay and storytelling.
-
AI-Assisted Scenes: Spaceship and farmland settings were AI-generated and refined into final visuals.
-
Extended Screens: Leaderboard, history, and result screens designed to support gameplay flow and maintain a unified visual language across the game.

Marketing Assets
To support the launch, I designed cross-platform promotional visuals that engaged the community and clearly communicated the gameplay.

Technical Collaboration
To bridge the gap between design and implementation, I used ChatGPT to generate a CodePen demo showcasing the card animations. This helped engineers understand the motion timing more accurately during handoff.
